Dr. Surf didn’t start as a business plan. It started as a personal truth. The ocean gave me something that nothing else could — freedom, clarity, connection. A way to feel fully alive.
I spent years training as a pharmacist, earning my ISA Level 2 surf instructor certification, and becoming water rescue certified — all while living and surfing in Tamarindo, one of Costa Rica’s most beautiful and consistent surf destinations. At some point I realized the best thing I could do with all of that — the knowledge, the skills, the love of the ocean — was share it. That’s what Dr. Surf is. A place where people from all over the world can come, get in the water, and discover what surfing can do for their life.
